Refinance Comparison Calculator
Compare your current loan with a new rate – including what happens if you reset back to a 30-year term.
1. Repayment at the new rate
Your current repayment compared with the minimum repayment at the new rate, paying off your current balance over the remaining contract term.
2. Lifetime result if you reset to 30 years
Interest already paid plus interest on a fresh 30-year loan at the new rate (minimum repayments), compared with interest already paid plus the remaining interest on your current loan. Resetting the term lowers repayments but often increases total interest – shown in red when you would pay more.
3. Actual savings, same remaining term
Refinancing your current balance at the new rate over your remaining term (rounded to the nearest whole year), compared with the remaining interest if you keep your current loan and repayment.

Important: These calculators are a guide only and provide general information, not credit advice or a quote. Results are estimates based on the figures you enter, assume the interest rate stays the same for the whole loan term and do not include fees, charges or changes to repayments. Interest is assumed to be calculated per repayment period. Actual repayments will depend on the lender, loan product and your circumstances. *For interest-only loans, total repaid includes the loan amount repaid at the end of the term.
